Let's consider how to make a decorative slipper-needle bed. Its finished length is about 15 cm. To make such a small thing you need 5.5 m. A satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide. From my personal experience I can add that such souvenirs look especially good in orange and blue.
So, first we draw a slipper pattern. For the manufacture of parts, thin cardboard is well suited, which would easily include a needle for sewing. You can use cardboard with packaging tights. Cut 2 pcs. top details and 3 pcs. outsole details.

We double our satin ribbon and apply it to the top part diagonally, cutting the ribbons as needed. So to the end of the line. We fix everything with clerical clips.

On the opposite side, we also fix the ribbons with paper clips, starting to bind them.

We align all the ribbons so that the pattern is neat, all the edges should be fixed with staples. From the inside, carefully trim the too long ends of the tape with scissors. We apply the second part.

Manually sew two parts of the top, fixing each ribbon. We do the same work with the sole of the sneaker as with the top. As a result, we have two parts that look like this from the face and the inside:

Cut off 50 cm of tape, carefully singe off the trimmed edges with a match. We collect the tape in the center on a thread.

We tack the tape and sew it to the edge of the upper part of the slipper, fixing it in the middle of the tape.

We take all the remaining tape, leaving 15 cm on the bow and mount. We collect it on a thread, we tidy so that when assembled, the length of the tape is 32 cm. We sew the tape to the slipper around the perimeter. Cut a piece of tape 4 cm long, singe it with a match of the edge, collect a small bow and fasten it to the middle of the slipper with thread or glue.

We make a loop for attaching a slipper to a wall or other surface. Cut a ribbon of 8x1 cm from the remaining piece of tape. We singe it from three edges. You can buy a piece of finished narrow ribbon, if it is in the same color. In the last part of the sole, carefully make a slot with a length of about 1 cm with a blade or clerical knife, thread our ribbon into it. Glue the detail with a loop to the sole of the slipper. She will close all seams visible outside and will give a neat look to the finished souvenir.

In the middle of the sneaker, you can put a piece of foam rubber lined with fabric or sew a small pillow of cotton wool or glue a small ball of knitting thread. Then you will get a useful needle-case souvenir, like this:
