Spruce Bead Branch

Increasingly, people abandon the living tree for the new year, wanting to save nature. But what are the New Year holidays without the Christmas tree or pine, their main symbol? Beautiful artificial Christmas trees often cost sky-high amounts, and even seem too banal. You can create an original home decoration and even a small Christmas tree manually by spending a small amount on materials, as well as spending a little time and having patience.
To create a small spruce twig from beads, we need:
- 20-25 grams of green beads;
- a coil of wire;
- threads or floristic tape (for winding the trunk);
- scissors or nippers.
We take a piece of wire about 30-40 centimeters long. We collect one bead and place it approximately in the middle, fold the wire in half so that the bead is on the fold and draw both ends of the wire through 14 beads. The number of beads can be any, depending on how long you want to make needles. We pull the beads to the first bead, and here is our first needle.

We take one end and collect 15 beads. We don’t touch the last bead we have typed, and return to the rest with wire, creating a second needle. Here is what should happen.

Similarly, we make two or three more needles to make a “foot”.

For the tops of the twigs, I make paws with five needles, in other cases - with four. You can make needles separately, later collecting them into paws or immediately into twigs, but I do not like this method, because the branches are too bulky due to the large amount of wire, and it is inconvenient to work with them.
Having made at least five “legs”, try to put them in a twig. I’m used to collecting twigs according to the scheme, adding one foot in each “tier” (that is, at the top of the twig there will be one with five needles, then two with four needles, then three, and so on). If you do not like this option - experiment!
Having picked up the ideal way of arranging the elements in the branch and creating a sufficient number of “paws”, we proceed to the connection. You can just twist everything together, but it’s in the Christmas trees that I don’t like the sparkle of the wire from under the lush green of the needles. In order to hide the color of the wire and securely fasten the pieces of the branch, I use threads or floral tape. In my branch there will be several small ones and it is worth wrapping them individually starting from the top.

The branches are ready and it's time to start forming a large branch.

An interesting result will be obtained if the small twigs are fastened into a kind of bouquet and put in a vase - from afar it looks like a miniature copy of a real coniferous tree. I like to fasten branches at different levels. Do not rush, twisting the branches together - the thread is easily tangled in needles. A little more patience - and voila, our twig is ready!

The technique that I told you is called needle weaving. With its help, you can not only create a small Christmas tree or Christmas wreath, but also complement a simple decoration or decorate a small handbag. The main thing is to be creative and do not be afraid of experiments!
