Crocheted snail

Often there are small skeins of yarn, of which you seem to have nothing to tie, but you can combine them and get something amazing. So I have accumulated a lot of leftovers, and I decided to please myself and my granddaughter with a new creation. To link such a clue, we need:
- Residues of acrylic yarn of the same density. I took the yarn, which is 380 meters per one hundred gram ball.
-Hook number 2.
-Glue "Crystal".
-Scissors.
- Needle for stitching.

We start knitting with an open loop.

Then we knit 6 single crochet on it,

We connect in a circle with a half-loop.

In the second row, we knit two in each loop, close the row with a half-loop. And in the next row add 3 loops evenly. Get 15 loops in a row. We knit the following rows in a spiral.

Change the thread and then knit each color in two rows. I found 7 species of different colors on the shell. I took it in a row, as I wanted. You can pre-build the balls and play with colors so that you like the color modulations. You can not break off the threads until the end of the first ornamental fragment, although it is more convenient to do this immediately, tying the previous thread with the next.

At the end of knitting of each fragment, we fill it with sintepon, remove the excess.

We knit the next fragment in the same order as the first. In the same way, we fill the knitted area with the help of a broken pencil.

In total, we knit 4.5 fragments of 7 threads each. The length of the shell should be at least 30 cm.

Now let's start knitting the torso. We collect 6 b / n columns on an open loop and continue knitting 3 rows, adding 6 additional rows in each. As a result, we get 24 loops, although you can tie the body into 18 loops, it will also be nice.

Then we knit without adding 11 or 12 cm.

We fill the body with a synthetic winterizer, helping to push it with a pencil. Then in the next row we remove 6 loops, there will remain 18. Then another 8 - there will be 12 columns. Last time we remove 6 loops and pull them on a thread, which we hide in the body.

For legs, we collect 15 air loops and knit in each crochet column.

Then we make the expansion of the canvas and tie the double crochet columns on all sides, including the columns themselves (their lateral part). We knit in each loop two s / sn.

And now we proceed to the strapping. In each column we knit 1 single crochet, 1s / s, 1s / bn. We have obtained a beautiful substrate for a snail, on which it will perfectly stand.

Now we sew this beauty in the middle of the body, and from above we wrap the shell in a ring and also fix it on the body with a thread and a needle.

We knit eyes. We start, as always, with an open loop and 6 s / bn on it.

We continue with a white thread, we knit 12 loops in a row.

We make another row of 12 loops, and reduce the next one to 6. Push the ends of the threads there with a pencil and tighten. It turned out an eye with a pupil. We knit for it a cap in three rows of 12 loops. We start, as usual, with an open loop.

These are our eyes.

Sew them to the edge and embroider the mouth.

This snail turned out to be on the side.

We knit out the horns and sew them behind the eyes in front of the carapace.

Here the snail crawled to the bump.

And here I met with my girlfriend. Remarkable toys turned out. Please your children and grandchildren!
