Fluffy Rainbow Hair Jewelry

I propose to make bright hair clips or elastic bands to decorate the hairstyle. Imagining with flowers ribbons, you can make decorations for various outfits, as well as to school and kindergarten. They are based on loops that are made of narrow satin ribbon. The decoration is made much easier than jewelry where you first need to form petals - kanzashi, and then already make the assembly. For the manufacture of such puffies, rep ribbons or organza ribbons can also be used. The work is a little painstaking and time-consuming, but the result is quite original products.
To make jewelry you will need:
- satin ribbons 6 mm wide 7 rainbow colors 1 m each;
- felt for the base;
- a candle;
- scissors;
- glue gun.
It is necessary to make the basis of felt, in this case, cut a circle with a diameter of 3 cm.
Stitch making
Cut all the strips into pieces 5.5 cm long. The length of the segments can be changed, if desired, for example, 6 cm or 6.5 cm.
Take one piece of tape and fold its ends together so that a loop forms from the front of the tape and secure the cut with a candle flame or lighter.
So do with all the pieces of tape. How much exactly stitches are needed depends on how tightly they are glued. I have about 60 pieces per jewelry.
Assembly of decoration.
Glue loops around the edge of the circle in the order of the colors of the rainbow. It took me 10 stitches.
Now gradually fill the base with loops, moving to the middle, alternating colors and arranging them in a checkerboard pattern.
Do this until a loose circle with a diameter of about 5 mm remains in the center.
To fill the middle, you should take 3 loops, glue together and roll up a tube.
Glue 4 more loops around the bundle of 3 stitches in a circle and attach this blank to the center on the base.
Turn the fluffy over and stick a series of eyelets along the edge from the outside.
Now you need to attach an elastic band or hairpin and the decoration is ready.
