Materials for making baskets:
- - Oval jar of yogurt;
- - Fabric for decoration;
- - A piece of lace or ribbon for decoration;
- - A wire for the handle;
- - Glue (you can take any, but working with hot is more convenient, and work will go faster);
- - scissors;
- - Ruler;
- - A simple pencil;
- - Medical white adhesive tape (you can use masking tape);
- - Waste cardboard is a small piece.
Making a basket:
1. Cut the wire to the desired length. It is better that it is at least 24 cm.
2. Carefully, so as not to damage the plastic, make recesses with scissors in the rim of the can in order to insert the handle there.
3. Place wire in these recesses and fix the cans on each side with a band-aid or masking tape. To keep the handle for sure, you can put glue in the gap between the wall and the adhesive plaster.
4. Wrap the handle of the basket with a ribbon or a thin strip of fabric, which is planned to finish the basket. Fix the edges of the fabric strip with glue.
5. Circle the bottom of the jar on a piece of cardboard, cut out. The same oval, only with a piping of +1 - 1.5 cm, cut out of fabric.
6. On the edge of the fabric, make incisions with rays. These rays through one need to be glued to the cardboard.
7. Then, pulling the fabric to avoid bumps, glue the remaining rays. This will be the bottom of the basket.
8. A piece of fabric of the right size (such that it covers the inner walls of the can and is fixed to the rim of the can), position at the bottom of the can, distribute the folds. On the bottom of the basket made, apply glue, insert the bottom into the basket and press the cans to the bottom.
9. Drape the fabric and fix it with glue on the rim of the jar, cut off the excess at the edges. The interior decoration of the basket is ready!
10. Almost the same finish. The fabric should be of such a size that it closes the walls of the can.
11. Form folds from the fabric, fix glue on top of the jar under the rim, trim the excess fabric at the edges.
12. Glue the lace (or ribbon) with glue in a circle around the rim of the can.
13. Cut three thin strips of fabric, weave a pigtail out of them. Attach a pigtail in a circle on the rim of the can on top of the lace so that it hides the seam between the inner and outer fabric trim.
Beautiful little basket is ready!
