Homemade chicken ham cannot be compared with the taste of ham purchased in a store. It is cooked at home with aromatic seasonings, mushrooms, dried fruits, vegetables, nuts and green sauces made of garlic, basil, parsley, spinach or dill. There are many ways to cook ham, but the simplest is cooking in water in a pan. Stunningly fragrant, beautiful and juicy, it turns out ham from chicken breast with a sauce of garlic, parsley and vegetable oil. We prepare it in the form of a roll, wrap it in foil, a plastic bag and cook in a pan.

Ingredients


  • chicken breast (fillet) - 1 half (large);
  • garlic - 5 cloves;
  • parsley - 5 branches;
  • vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon;
  • ground pepper;
  • salt.

Cooking Chicken Breast Ham


1. Wash large chicken breast without skin and wipe with paper towels. One large breast can be replaced with 2 small ones. Spread up with the side on which the skin was.

2. We cut the fillet from below with a sharp long knife, do not cut it to the end and open it like a book. We get one fleshy part and one part of medium thickness.

3. The meaty part in the direction from right to left is divided with a knife in half (until the end we cut) and open. You should get a layer of equal thickness. If there are thick parts, then we make cuts on them in different directions with a knife.

4. Sprinkle the prepared layer of meat on all sides with salt, ground pepper and spread it on the foil.

5. Parsley leaves finely chopped, chop the garlic cloves through a press and send everything to a mortar.

6. Pour in the oil and mix well with the pestle. Parsley should highlight the juice and get a green mass.

7. The prepared flavor mixture is evenly distributed on chicken meat. We step back a bit from the edges.

8. Turn the workpiece into a roll.

9. We place a piece of foil with a roll closer to ourselves and tightly wrap it. We twist the ends of the foil from 2 sides so that the mass inside becomes denser and there are no empty spaces. We get the loaf.

10. Wrap the meat loaf in a plastic bag (can be replaced with cling film).

11. To keep the ham in shape, we tie it with culinary twine or dense threads. We send it to the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, the meat should be soaked in garlic and parsley juices.

12. In a pan, bring to a boil a large amount of water, send the pickled roll into it and cover with a plate smaller in diameter of the pan. Cook at a very low temperature (water should not boil) for 30 minutes. Then leave on the table until the liquid cools completely. We put the ham in the refrigerator and leave it for at least 3 hours.

13. Delicious flavored ham from the breast free from threads, foil and bag.

14. Cut into small pieces, put on a plate with green lettuce and serve as an appetizer, for breakfast with bread or prepare sandwiches, sandwiches with vegetables and various sauces. Store in refrigerators for a maximum of 3 days.

Cooking Tips


  • According to this recipe, you can cook ham with fried vegetables (bell peppers, onions, carrots, leeks, celery), prunes, dried apricots, walnuts or olives.
  • Fresh parsley in the sauce can be replaced with basil or dill.
  • The foil and plastic bag will be replaced by a regular cling film or baking bag. We wrap the roll in 4 layers and fix it with twine.
