In this review, the author shows how to make a home-made machine for cutting metal and wood (using an electric drill as a drive).
Of course, it should be noted right away that the speed of the electric drill is insufficient for such a machine. If possible, it is better to use an asynchronous motor with a capacity of 1-2 kW.
The master makes a small table on which the machine will be located: the drive itself and the cutting disc.
The main stages of work
First, the author welds a half-inch pipe section to a metal plate. The next step is to fix the welded part on the table.
After that, the author fastens a block consisting of two bearings, a housing for them, as well as a shaft and a pulley to a metal plate.
We install this block relative to the surface strictly at an angle of 90 degrees. For fastening, bolts with nuts are used.
Next, you will need to install a homemade handle, and you need to screw the mount to the plate to fix the electric drill.
At the last stage, it remains only to make a slot in the countertop for the cutting disc, install the belt and drill, and the machine is ready.
