The author offers a very simple idea how to make a street bench on concrete foundations. Simple and tasteful, you can do it yourself, not buy.
Process of creation
First you will need to collect the fill form. A thick plywood sheet is perfect for this. Saw it to the given sizes:
- 2 pcs. - 35.5 x 44.5 cm
- 4 things. - 7.5 x 23 cm
- 2 pcs. - 22.9 x 22.9 cm
- 1 PC. - 44.5 x 20 cm
These are the details for one mold.
Now cut out the side walls. Such will be the shape of our future bench foundations. Fasten the parts with self-tapping screws. Be sure to treat the internal seams with sealant or rubber glue so that the composition does not leak.
Knead a sufficiently dense cement mixture. Add water gradually, constantly mixing. Now fill out the forms.
For air bubbles to come out, you need to intensively tap the plywood with a mallet on all sides. Three crutch bolts will fasten the bars, insert them into the cement, having previously made the marking. At the beginning of solidification, the position of the fasteners will have to be adjusted.
When the cement dries, unscrew the screws, and the forms can be easily disassembled. Decide on the length of the bench and cut three thick bars according to size.
Now you need to make holes for the bolts in them. So that the mount does not stick out, in the wood you can make a recess under the nut.
The stage of connecting the elements. If the holes are made imperfectly, with the help of a mallet, the bars can be knocked out so they can easily snap into place.
Cut out the protruding parts of the bolt and grind it with a grinder. It remains only to cover the tree with wood stain and the bench is ready.
The texture of natural wood itself is very beautiful, but it also goes well with a massive cement base.
Such a bench looks unusual, but it fits perfectly into any style. It is stable and durable. The main thing is to choose a quality stain for street work.
