Wall-mounted wooden shelves with a hexagonal shape that look like a honeycomb are one way to add some zest to the interior of a room. They are equally well suited for both home and cottage.
You can make honeycomb shelves with your own hands. And as the main material, the master uses wooden billboards, which you can buy ready-made in a hardware store.
For the manufacture of such shelves, you can also use ordinary boards or plywood. The number and size of shelves is at your discretion. You can, for example, make small shelves for different small things or larger shelves for flower pots.
The main stages of work
First of all, it is necessary to dissolve the furniture panels into blanks of the desired width. Then, on the miter saw, it will be necessary to cut small pieces (the master cuts the edges at an angle of 45 degrees).
To make one honeycomb shelf, 6 pieces of furniture board will be required. We connect all parts together using nails and PVA glue.
At the last stage of work, it remains only to polish the shelves, and then paint. Outside, you can paint with white paint, and inside - with a paint of a different color. Or you can simply coat them with varnish.
