In any carpentry workshop, there will almost always be old boards and unnecessary scraps that are suitable only for kindling. However, even from the materials of the "third grade" you can make a cool little table for your home or summer house.

The very design of the table is very simple - everyone can repeat. The main thing is that you have the right tool at hand: the boards will need to be cut into size and sanded. Clamps will also be required to fix the workpieces during gluing.

In this case, the author uses the scraps left over from the wooden lining for wall sheathing. Of these, he knocks together a U-shaped table. However, in this embodiment, the design is very flimsy, and therefore the author decided to give it a little stiffness.

The main stages of work

To "strengthen" the resulting table and make it more stable, the author uses different trimmings of old boards about 10-12 mm thick. They sheathe the inside and outside of the table. Nails and PVA glue are used.

The author covers the front edge of the table with wooden slats, having previously sawed them off at an angle of 45 degrees. And then it remains only to polish everything well and cover it with 1-2 layers of varnish.
