You can buy a bed in your own house or do it yourself. The first way is simpler, the second is cheaper. Therefore, if the issue of cost savings is in the first place for you, then the second option is more optimal.
If you are doing interior decoration and furniture planning from scratch, then in this situation it is best to fix the bed frame itself tightly to the floor and wall.
This will not only give the construction more rigidity, but will also save a little on building materials. For example, under the bed you will not need to lay the floor (laminate, parquet).
The first step is to assemble the bed frame. For this, the author uses pine blocks of 40 * 40 mm. All connections are elementary - butt. 80 mm long self-tapping screws and PVA glue are used to connect the bars.
The main stages of work
A 10 mm thick plywood sheet is attached to the top of the frame. Then a mattress will be laid on it. The author decided to make the sides and the head of the bed from oak planks (you can also use pine planks).
The boards are glued to the shield. Then the author decided to burn them with a gas burner, and then cover them with water-based acrylic varnish. And when all the details of the bed are ready, you can start assembling.
