For convenient storage of hardware in a home workshop or garage, you can make a compact organizer with your own hands. It takes up little space on the desktop, and has many compartments, which allows you to sort hardware by functional purpose and size.

For the manufacture of a compact organizer, the author uses a piece of steel pipe, three pieces of metal strip, a piece of PP pipe and plugs for plastic sewer pipes. Also required are bolts with nuts.

First of all, the master cuts three pieces of a strip of metal 40 mm wide, and then welds a C-shaped stand from them. Its height can be different, depending on how many "cells" for storage you need.

The main stages of work

To the lower and upper parts of the rack, the author welds the nickel from the steel bar. The diameter of the rod must be selected according to the inner diameter of the polypropylene tube, which will be inserted between the two "legs" of the rack.

Next, a piece of steel pipe is welded to the bottom of the rack, which will act as the base (or stand). Thus, the design will stand firmly on the table.

At the next stage, the master drills one hole in the plugs for the plastic pipe. Bolts are inserted into the holes, and then clips for the PP pipe are attached.

After that, it remains only to assemble the entire structure, and you can use it. For details on how to make a compact organizer for the workshop with your own hands, see the video on our website.
