Using a working gear from a grinder, it is possible to make a universal “nozzle” for a screwdriver, which will allow the use of a grinding and cutting disc, and even a saw blade on wood.

First of all, it is necessary to weld a “shank” for the screwdriver chuck to the shaft on which the small gear of the angle grinder “sits”. And after that it will be necessary to cut off a part of the gear case.

Then, from a piece of metal strip, the author makes a clamp that will be worn on the casing of the angle grinder. However, such a fastening can also be made from a pipe segment.

The main stages of work

At the next stage of work, it will be necessary to make another clamp, but of a larger size. He will be worn on the “neck” of a screwdriver. Additionally, the master makes a winder from two pieces of steel bar.

Next, a small clamp, which is on the gearbox, must be connected to a large one, which is on the screwdriver. A piece of metal strip is suitable for this.

In the end, it remains only to make a protective casing. This will require a piece of strip and sheet metal. For greater security, it does not hurt to make a support platform.

Use caution when using this tool. You can watch more details on how to make a home-made universal “tip” on a screwdriver from a UShM gearbox in the video on our website.
