It is far from always possible to use elements of decor made of natural stone in the home interior, therefore, alternative - cheaper building materials are most often used. For example, the gypsum stone in the interior looks just fine, and is inexpensive.

In order for the decor element made of gypsum stone to last as long as possible, without losing its attractiveness, you need to know some of the subtleties of laying this material.

First of all, you need to prime the surface on which the gypsum stone will be laid (if you are priming the wall in several layers, withstand a drying time of at least 2-3 hours).

The main stages of work

At the bottom of the wall, a wooden rail is screwed onto the screws. In addition, it is necessary to use pads, so that after dismantling the rail in this place, you can easily install the baseboard.

For laying gypsum stone, the master uses liquid nails. If the goal is not to save as much as possible, then you can use tile glue.

Gypsum stone is laid in such a way that the vertical seams in each row are spaced apart. For cutting tiles, the master uses a cheap Chinese tile cutter.

In the upper part of the wall, a mortgage wooden lath is screwed. A ceiling plinth will then be attached to it. That, in fact, is the whole technology of work.
