From the old manual hacksaw, as well as improvised materials, the author decided to assemble a home-made sawing machine for the home workshop. The design itself turned out to be cumbersome, and therefore it will require free space on the table.

Of the basic materials for the manufacture of this machine, you will need: a piece of a channel for the bed, and round pipes and steel plate cuts will also be needed. The drive is an electric motor.

First of all, the master cuts off a piece of steel pipe with a length of about 50 cm. It will also be necessary to cut two short pieces of pipe of a larger diameter. They will be used as bushings.

The process of manufacturing a sawing machine

Two bushings are put on a piece of pipe, and already to them the master welds a metal frame to fix the hacksaw blade. Then 2 rectangular plates must also be welded to the pipe.

The plates are installed approximately in the center of the pipe, and act as stoppers for the saw frame (from lateral shift). At the next stage, vertical racks should be welded onto a channel piece from two sides. Then a mount is made for the electric motor.

A U-shaped frame welded from one long and two short pipe sections with a blank is welded to the main pipe, to which the saw frame is attached. Next, the master cleans the seams, and then proceeds to the final stage of assembly.
