In the presence of a lathe, it is possible to make a universal nozzle for an electric drill or screwdriver, with which to mechanize manual labor. For example, a hacksaw or woodcarving tools can easily become "electric." Work with them will gain greater accuracy and, of course, speed, ease, convenience.
To make a universal nozzle with your own hands, you will need a lathe, a drill, a grinder, a welding machine, a vice, a hammer and a set of metal billets: cylinders, bearings, spring, pipe pieces, bolts, pin, clamp.
Getting to work. First, take two solid cylinders (about 15 cm long), grind two identical parts out of them, thinning about примерно of the part. Then we grind the “heads”, marking them accordingly, so that they easily and accurately fit into each other. Along the way, round off sharp edges using a vice and grinder.
For both parts, three bearings are required. We grind the “leg” of one part for ease of installation in the clip of a drill or screwdriver, check. Now remove the bearings from another part, install the spring and put them back in place.
The main stages of work
The metal pipe must be cut to the desired size along the length of the structure. At the edges we make 8 small cuts (about 5 mm), for subsequent fixation. In the center of the pipe, cut two oblong holes opposite each other.
Next, we drill a hole in the head of a cylindrical billet, insert it into the tube, insert a pin through the hole and check the possibility of free reciprocating motion. We install both billets of the “mechanism” in the tube from two sides and fix it by knocking out 4 pipe sections, the rest are cut off.
We put a clamp on the pin and install it in the cylinder bore. Trim the edges of the pin. Then we install the resulting structure into the screwdriver, clamping it in a vice, and check the operation.
At the last stage, it remains only to make the handle. To do this, you need a piece of pipe, which should be turned and soldered to the product. After that, you need to grind the holding structure for the hacksaws. We take the cylinder, we make a slot in it for inserting hacksaws and three holes.
One for fixing with a hacksaw bolt, the other for connecting with a nozzle. The third is drilled from the end to insert woodcarving tools. The holes for the fixing bolts are cut in the holes.
