Even if you have only one 200-liter barrel, why not make a stylish and comfortable chair with your own hands? In order to make street chairs, in addition to the barrel itself, the following materials will be needed: sealing gum, plywood or chipboard, furniture upholstery.
The main stages of work
First of all, it is necessary to mark out metal barrels, and then cut out the excess parts using an angle grinder with a cutting disc. Also, for cutting a steel barrel, you can use an electric jigsaw with a metal file.
Then we clean the trimmed edges with a grinder with a petal grinding disc. And with the help of a grinder we process the painted metal surface. At the next stage, we cover a 200-liter barrel with 1-2 layers of soil, and then we paint on the outside and inside.
Next, we put on a rubber band along the contour of the cut and cut boards from plywood or chipboard, which are interconnected in such a way as to make a cross. We insert it into the barrels and from above we insert a round seat covered with leather or cheaper furniture upholstery.
