With a homemade fixture with a clamp, you can lift heavy building materials to the second / third floor through a window without running up and down the stairs. In addition, homemade makes it possible to fix various workpieces on a workbench (that is, it acts as an ordinary clamp).
For the manufacture of this fixture with a clamp, you can use simple materials that can be found in the workshop or in scrap metal. In particular, a steel strip, a square bar, a piece of tube, a cable and a bolt with a nut will be required.
The main stages of work
First of all, you need to prepare the basic materials for the manufacture of the device. To do this, we cut off with a grinder two pieces of a steel strip and two pieces of a square bar. The sizes in this case may be different - at your discretion.
The pieces of the square act as clamping jaws. With the help of a grinder, it is necessary to make crosswise on the surface of the blanks of the notch. Next, we weld pieces of a square bar to pieces of a metal strip. The resulting parts are the main elements of a homemade device.
On the edges of the parts you need to weld the "ears" of a steel strip or metal scraps, after which we weld a bolt to one of the halves to adjust the clamping force. In the end, it remains only to make a cable to connect the device to the rope.
