If a hacksaw on a tree breaks during work, do not rush to throw away the blade - you can give it a second "life" by making a nozzle for a jigsaw. With this tool, you can also saw wood billets needed for carpentry, only several times faster.

The main stages of work

First, on the hacksaw blade, make markings with a marker or scriber, and then give it the desired shape using a grinder with a cutting wheel. Then cut the shank exactly like a standard jigsaw file. We insert the old hacksaw into the landing "nest" and check the nozzle in operation.

So that in the process of sawing blanks from wood, the hacksaw blade does not deviate to the sides from a given path, you will also need to make a holder with a guide. For this, it will be necessary to cut two pieces of a half-inch steel pipe, which are welded together at an angle of 90 degrees.

Then we clean the welding spot, mark the longitudinal line and cut the horizontal pipe along. The hacksaw blade will be fixed in the resulting slot. The result is a simple jigsaw tip.

In general, the device is worthy of attention, however, it has a significant drawback - with such a blade the jigsaw will not "live" for a long time. Therefore, ideally, for such a nozzle, use some old jigsaw, which is not a pity to ditch.
