If you like to drive a car out of town: hunting, fishing for mushrooms, or just on vacation, then you have probably come across a situation where the car "sits" in the mud or stalls on the wet grass and can’t leave at all (sometimes even chains do not help) .

For such force majeure situations, a simple but very effective device called a "self-extractor for cars" is useful. The principle of its operation is very simple - a special disk with hooks is mounted on the wheel, to which the rope is attached.

The other end of the rope is tied to a metal pin, which is hammered into the ground at a certain distance from the car. In fact, a self-extractor for a car is a budget version of a winch, and it does not require the installation of a power bumper.

How to make a self-extractor with your own hands

To make this device, you will need two halves of the steel disk from the "Ant" scooter or from the car (for example, old or used VAZ disks are perfect for these purposes). Disks from a scooter are lighter and more compact, therefore, preferable.

Remove the car wheel and put it on a table or any other flat surface. We attach half of the disk to it and make markings for the hooks. Hook hooks themselves can be made without problems from a steel round bar of the desired diameter.

Finished hooks are welded to the half-disk in pre-marked places where “docking” with holes in the wheel of the car’s wheel will occur. Then the two halves of the disc are coupled together using bolts and nuts. Now it remains only to paint the finished product.

How to use this device, see the video on the site. Write in the comments how you find a way out of such situations.
