I think, on the eve of the New Year holidays, a workshop on modeling delicious marshmallows that will decorate your New Year’s cake will be very appropriate. Moreover, they are made quite simple.
So, let's start by sculpting a small Christmas tree. To create it, we need a small piece of green mastic. I usually use marshmallow based mastic, I like it the most to taste, and it's convenient to work with.
Having mash well the mastic, we roll it into a ball, from it we form a cone, the height of which corresponds to the height of the future Christmas tree. It often happens that when the cone is placed in an upright position, the mastic begins to settle under weight, so I usually send it for a few minutes to the refrigerator, where it freezes a little and starts to hold its shape.

Now we take manicure scissors and make cuts on the surface of the cone, each new row is cut in a checkerboard pattern. For these purposes, I have separate manicure scissors, especially for use in cooking, I bought the cheapest, they will come off completely.

As a result, we get such a pretty Christmas tree, it remains to revive it a bit and decorate it with New Year's toys.

With the help of food coloring, diluted in a small amount of water, we brush with a brush over the Christmas tree. I dip the brush in the dye, then squeeze a little on a napkin, and only then on the Christmas tree. For toys, I used ordinary children's sweets, which are sold in every store. Sweets glued under the branches when you lift them, the mastic inside is sticky and sweets stick to it without much difficulty. That's all the Christmas tree for the cake is ready.

Now you can take on the modeling of a snowman. We will need a piece of white mastic and a piece of mastic of a different color, I had it pink.
Let's start making a snowman from the torso. Let's make a small cone, only the top of it does not need to be sharp. Having rolled up small balls, we make the legs to the snowman.

Handles are made of mastic rolled into a sausage (a very small piece). We’ll flatten the sausage a bit, and on the edge we’ll make a mitten by simply making an incision and slightly tweaking it.

Glue the handles to the body, lubricating the edge with some water.

We proceed to the formation of the head. Mark the mastic ball under the eyes and nose.

We make the nose out of a tiny piece of red mastic. Just give it the shape of a carrot, make small notches and a carrot-nose is ready.

Having made a recess on the head under the spout, lubricate with water and just insert our spout into place. Eyes are simply stained with black paint. And the mouth is formed with a toothpick, making the snowman smile.

The head connects to the body with a toothpick.

Now we will make our snowman a scarf and a hat. I wanted the scarf to be striped, so on a rolled piece of pink mastic, I put the flagella on white mastic and roll it a little more with a rolling pin.

Cut a piece along the length, which is enough to grab the snowman's neck in a circle. Mask the connection with a second piece of scarf on the edge, which we will make cuts, as in the photo.

For a hat, we’ll make a small candy in the form of a cone, which we also attach to the head with a toothpick, and to hide the connection, we’ll make a rim.

To do this, I twisted the flagella of white and pink mastic.

We wrap it around the hat and that’s it, the New Year’s snowman is ready. Brown his cheeks with dry food coloring and can be put on a cake.
