In this review, the author shows how to make a jig for puncturing small holes in wooden planks, namely, in the details used to make bee frames.

The fact is that when assembling the frames in their lateral parts, five holes must be drilled each time. However, this is quite time-consuming.

Therefore, the author decided to make a device for puncture all five holes in the workpiece in one fell swoop, and this allows to significantly speed up the process.

For the manufacture of homemade products the following materials will be required: two pieces of round timber, two corners, four bushings (two short and two long).

The main stages of work

At the next stage, we put the sleeves on the round timber. Then we weld two short sleeves to one section of the corner, long ones to the other.

Next, you need another pair of corners. We weld them to the bushings. In one of the corners, you need to drill five holes in increments of 5 cm.

In another corner, you also need to drill five holes, but with a larger diameter (10 mm).

We insert bolts into the drilled holes and fix them with nuts.

In the caps of the bolts, having previously aligned them in one line, it is necessary to drill holes for punching "needles".

Also, bolts need to be drilled still lateral holes to fix the "needles", as the author uses old drills for metal.

At the last stage, it remains only to install the return springs on the sides, and the homemade product is ready.
