Grinding workpieces manually is still a hassle. It is much simpler and easier to use a grinding machine for this purpose. And you can do it yourself.
To do this, you will need a grinder reducer (angle grinder) and a drive, in the role of which you can use a screwdriver or drill. And the body of the grinder itself can be made of wood or plywood.
First of all, it will be necessary to remove the gear unit from the grinder and cut two pieces of plastic pipe of different lengths.
The main stages of work
In a long piece of plastic pipe, the author presses a wooden cylinder with a hole in the center. Then it will be necessary to fasten a clamping nut for angle grinder to it.
A wooden cylinder will also need to be pressed into a short section of the plastic pipe, in which, on both sides, the bearings must first be made.
In the end, it turned out two rollers on which the sanding belt will be pulled. The drive roller must be screwed onto the gearbox shaft.
At the next stage, the author makes a "seat" for the driven roller. Moreover, it is necessary to provide for the possibility of tensioning the sanding belt.
We make the necessary details from wood or plywood, after which you can proceed with the assembly.
