The construction vacuum cleaner is a universal device, both at the facility and at home. It is necessary not only for garbage collection after repair or finishing work. It is also used for gating walls and in the process of cutting concrete with a grinder.
To make a home-made building vacuum cleaner, you need a plastic container: a bucket or a barrel, a 90-degree branch, a long segment of a hairpin with a diameter of 10 mm, an electric motor and an air filter.
First of all, it will be necessary to drill a through hole in the lid of the bucket or barrel for air to enter the impeller of the electric motor. And for this we use a crown for a drill of the desired diameter. Also, the hole can be made in another way.
Construction Vacuum Cleaner Assembly Process
After we cut a hole in the cover, we proceed to marking a sheet of plywood for mounting the engine. We cut round holes in two plywood boards, and then glue them together using joiner's PVA. We also cut out two upper engine mounts from plywood.
In the lid of the tank we drill mounting holes for mounting the engine. Then we connect two fasteners (lower and upper) through the cover with four bolts. Next, you will need to install a spacer ring cut out of plywood, and then fasten the air filter.
At the last stage, we drill a hole in the tank under the plastic branch by 90 degrees. From the board and mesh, we additionally make protection for the electric motor, into the housing of which we embed the power button. The process of assembling a construction vacuum cleaner from trash can be seen in the video on our website.
