Very often there is a need to reliably dock and fix two workpieces at a right angle (perpendicular to each other). And for this you can use a very simple homemade clamp, which is just designed for the perpendicular pulling together of various workpieces.
This homemade product is useful for fixing profile steel pipes or wooden planks. To make it, you will need: four plates with a thickness of 5-6 mm and a width of 15 mm. Each plate is about 10 cm long. You will also need three bolts or studs with nuts and washers.
First, we cut off four plates, in two of which with the help of a grinder it will be necessary to make cutouts. Then we cut in half two elongated nuts. Then all the details must be welded together.
The main stages of work
First, weld metal plates at an angle of about 45 degrees. Then, on the edges of the workpieces, it will be necessary to weld the nuts. In this case, the long nuts act as guides for the bolts (or studs).
At the next stage, it is necessary to make three knobs from a steel round bar, as well as three clamping "five-copeck coins". They can be made with your own hands from ordinary nuts with washers. Then we put the heads on the ends of the bolts.
