This homemade product is ideal for stripping, processing and deburring metal products: sheet steel, pipes, long products, etc. Performing such a file with a file is a long time, and with a cleaning disk it is not always convenient, and it is not practical. Therefore, for the home workshop, a homemade hand tool is perfect.
The main stages of work
For the manufacture of homemade products you will need a piece of a metal plate (it is better to use a workpiece made of durable tool steel). Using a ruler and marker, mark the surface and cut the part with a grinder. You can manually jigsaw, but it will take more time.
The end part of the plate must be sharpened so that a cutting edge is obtained, and the slot in the form of a triangle is left as is. Then the shank of the part is inserted into the round tube and welded. Cut the resulting tool handle to the desired length - ideally, 15-20 cm will be enough.
Obvious advantages
The result is a practical and convenient tool for quickly deburring metal products. If it is necessary, for example, to strip a piece of a plate or a steel strip, then in one pass the burrs are immediately removed from both sides. Whereas with a file you will have to first process one side, and then the other.
