To make such a brooch we need:
- Satin ribbon with yellow-blue stripes, as the flag of Ukraine 15 mm wide;
- Ribbon rep swamp color 9 mm wide;
- Ribbon rep also with yellow-blue stripes 9 mm wide;
- Polymer clay poppy with a diameter of 25 mm;
- Ribbon rep with poppies and cornflowers 25 mm wide;
- Metal blank brooches;
- A piece of yellow felt;
- Lighter;
- Scissors;
- Heptagonal stars pattern, we will need patterns of 5 cm, 6 cm and 7 cm in diameter;
- Glue gun;
So, for starters, we need to cut out three stars of the desired diameter. You can search for them on the Internet, or you can draw on your own, the most important thing is that the corners coincide, but there is a different diameter. For convenience, we also cut circles inside.
We take the largest star and a satin yellow-blue ribbon, we off the edge of the ribbon, apply it in the center and begin to wrap the first face of the star, also bring it to the center and glue a droplet of glue gun in the center.
Now, so, face-to-face, we wrap the whole star. We also burn the edge of the tape and finish in the center.
We wrap the second star according to the same principle with a marsh color rep ribbon. Reps turn around a little easier, he is more obedient than a satin ribbon and holds its shape well. We also wrap the smallest star with a rep ribbon, but already yellow-blue. We wrapped all three stars, glued all the edges well and carefully now we remove all three stars from cardboard templates.
From a wide rep ribbon, we also cut two small segments and cauterize the edges.
From yellow felt, cut a circle of 3-3.5 cm in diameter. We glue it underneath the largest star.
Then we turn and paste wide rep strips with poppies, then a green star, and then glue the smallest asterisk. In the center we glue a poppy from polymer clay, and below on felt we glue a brooch.
It turns out here is such a symbolic brooch in the Ukrainian style. Thank you and good luck to everyone!
