Foam aluminum casting, an easy way to create any shape

To create a figure from aluminum, a foam model is used with a small allowance (slightly larger size) for finishing. The essence of the method lies in the fact that the foam model is placed in the sand to a shallow depth, and a channel leading to the surface is left for filling. The flow of molten metal very quickly melts the foam and fills the form that it occupied in the sand.
